Canceling a Work Order

In some scenarios, a work order cannot be completed but is still required to be reported on.

If your company has the configuration needed to cancel a trip, you will see the Cancel Trip button on the work order action curtain by clicking on a work order. This feature may not be available on all work orders. Also, you can only cancel a trip if a work order is in an open status, meaning you cannot cancel a trip for a work order already in progress.

Click on the Cancel trip button and you will see a warning pop-up. If your company has set up multiple reasons for canceling, it will show up as a selection, or it will showcase “No service required” by default. You can also attach additional notes for canceling the trip which can be optional or mandatory based on your company’s configuration.

Once done, hit Continue. The work order will be canceled, and a confirmation message will be displayed. Depending upon your company’s business model, a new trip for that work order may or may not be created.
